Office Refurbishment
Office refurbishment offers your business all the benefits of a new office without the expense or hassle of sourcing and moving to new premises. An office refurbishment project can help give your business more space to grow, allow you to modernise your technology and update your look.
As specialists in office refurbishment, we can use our extensive experience in this area to design and manage the construction of your new office space so that you can rest assured that the project is in safe hands. Our creative approach will ensure that the layouts and finishes you choose, maximise the opportunity to personalise your new office space.
We also work with leading interior designers, to give our clients access to fresh ideas. This can range from clever yet inexpensive functional design, through to statement, high impact designs. So whatever your brand values, Logic PM can help you to create a bespoke working environment.
An office refurbishment project consists of several stages, depending upon the level of fit out being undertaken. Your dedicated Logic PM project manager will guide you through each stage while managing the entire project to ensure that your office refurbishment is completed on time, to budget and in line with business objectives. We can also advise on the best way to minimise disruption to business operations during the project.

6 Steps to Office Refurbishment:
1. Planning:
At the outset of the project, we will ask you what your objectives are. What do you hope to achieve from the office refurbishment? Examples often include: increased workspace (see workspace optimisation for more information), a more modern look and improved technology, increased productivity and a better working environment for staff morale.
The project may also be taken on to address a specific business need. Perhaps the business has taken on more clients and your office needs more rooms for face-to-face meetings. Whatever the reason behind the project, it is important to be clear at this stage about what you hope to achieve so your project manager can ensure that you get the end result that’s right for your business.
2. Budget and timescale setting:
It is equally important to have a realistic budget and timeframe in mind. These factors can further help your project manager advise on how best to achieve the results you want for the budget you have available and will very according to the type of refurbishment and fit out being undertaken.
Setting a budget will give you another success factor to measure against when assessing the completed project and enables you, as a business, to plan for the various expenses that would be coming up. It also helps to set realistic expectations and make important decisions at an early stage in the project, your PM can recommend ways to reduce your budget or advise you to increase your budget if necessary.
We will conduct an estimate and provide you with a quote for the works and keep you updated throughout the project.
3. Project management
As a specialist commercial project management firm, we have many years of experience in office refurbishments, large and small. We know the suppliers, sub-contractors and technicians and only work with those we know and trust. We will manage the entire project from start to finish so you can focus on managing your business.
4. Building appraisals, drawings and 3D visualisation:
As part of the pre-construction works, we would survey the existing layout of your office and map all relevant systems, including heating and electrical systems, telecoms systems and even electrical points to ensure our proposed design works with every part of your office.
Once we have all the information, we can create concept drawings, space planning and test fit visuals as well as a 3D visualisation showing the process from start to finish. This way, you know exactly what to expect from your new office.
5. Working around you:
In order to reduce disruption to normal business operations, we can ensure that as much of the downtime in your IT and telecoms systems occurs outside of business hours. In some projects, it has also been possible for building work to take place in evening and weekend hours to further reduce disruption. Your project manager will work with you to ensure that the refurbishment interferes as little as possible with day-to-day operations.
6. The finishing touches:
The finishing touches are always important. We can help you find the best products to suit your business needs and even factor these into the plans at an early stage. Once the refurbishment is complete, we can help introduce your team to every part of their new office and provide training for any new equipment where necessary.
